MEMBERS' MARKETPLACE


Our quilt show is fast approaching!  Are you planning on selling items in our Members’ Marketplace?  If so, please contact Evelyn Galinsky immediately at 415-550-9200 so she can get an idea of how many sellers we might have along with the types and quantities of items that will be displayed. She needs to assess space layout, display needs etc. The more information in advance, the more successful the Members’ Marketplace will be. Estimate needed for now.  Please let her know if you have any questions as well.

CHALLENGE QUILT ENTRY
2017 Challenge Quilt: Favorite Childhood Fairy Tales

Challenge Quilts may be entered online. For paper entries (Challenge Quilt only) please contact Laraine Salmon.
Everyone has some sort of story from their childhood that they liked, or a hero or villain that particularly intrigued them. Put that into a quilt. Have fun with it. VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers needed for Quilt Show 2017. All Guild members are required to work 4 hours at the show. There are many categories of jobs buth standing and sitting. There will be a sign-up table at the December 13 and subsequent  meetings.  Cher delaMere is volunteer chair and can be called at 415-596-1242.

Antique and Heritage Quilts wanted for the Quilt Show
Do you have a cherished antique or family quilt lurking in your closet or trunk. If so, the Quilt Show Committee would love to see it. We are looking for quilts that are clean, in good shape and are odor-free to display next spring in the Special Exhibits category. If you have something like I'm describing please contact Cathey Kennedy at 518-281-0053 or me@catheykennedy.com and she will get back to you about the specifics. And just an FYI... we're not planning on charging an entry fee for these quilts. We can't wait to see what you have!

NANCY BAVOR, AQS certified quilt and textile appraiser will be available during the show, to appraise exhibited quilts as well as quilts brought in. Each appointment includes a 30 minutes consultation with a written, signed statement

ABOUT OUR VENUE

The Event Center at St. Mary’s is located in St. Mary’s Cathedral, a San Francisco landmark designed by award winning architects Pietro Belluschi and Pier-Luigi Nervi.  It is conveniently located near The Fillmore, Japantown and the revitalized Hayes Valley neighborhood as well as the Civic Center cultural amenities such as the Asian Art Museum, SF Symphony and SF Opera. It is conveniently located to the 38 Geary bus line, connecting to both BART and Muni Metro at Montgomery Station, the 47 and 49 buses on Van Ness Avenue which connect to the Muni Metro at Van Ness and Market, the 31 bus on Eddy, and near parking lots at Japantown and street parking.
