2019 Opportunity Quilt
Our 2019 Opportunity Quilt: Shining Through the Fog.

Design credit goes to Sylvie Marquet, who also created block-making kits and shepherded the project from design to piecing to assembly and quilting. More than 40 guild members pieced blocks; Sue Fox did the free-motion quilting.

“Shining through the Fog”, our 2019 opportunity quilt, was definitely glowing at our QUILT San Francisco 2019 show. The spotlights definitely highlighted not only my design, but the fabulous, unique work of Sue Fox with the quilting. I was so happy to have made the trip to see you all and to have had the privilege of raffling it in good company as you can see in the picture. The lucky winner is Lori Atwood, from the Peninsula, who is planning to receive it at our April guild meeting.
Congratulations to the wonderful team who got involved in the quilt-making process; and to the makers who got their name printed on the label I sewed on the quilt right before the show.
Profit rose right above the $4,000 mark! I will happily hand the torch to the next designer with a pressbook that will hopefully be a useful source of information about the task. Best of luck!
