Quilt Retreats

We regularly invite SFQG Members to join us for a weekends of connection, community, and quilting.

Our retreats take two forms: QuiltAways and Guild GetAways. QuiltAways are multi-day workshops, where we invite teachers to come and host two 1-day classes or one 2-day class. Guild GetAways are Open Studio retreats, where we invite members to bring current projects or UFOs that need a little inspiration.

Our retreats often host a free table, show & tell, evening programs, and other activities. The program areas have dedicated sewing spaces with extension cords, ironing stations, cutting stations, and design wall space. Typically, meals are provided for dinner on arrival day through lunch on departure day, including daily snacks.

This Guild GetAway is an open studio retreat. Bring a current WIP, a UFO that needs a little inspiration, or get a head start on a holiday project! Enjoy dedicated sewing space, free table, show & tell, walking trails, evening programs…and more! Space is limited to 36 participants.

Camp Newman

Camp Newman is a newly rebuilt retreat facility in the Santa Rosa hills. They offer beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, new accommodations, great food, and large program spaces.
Camp Newman is accessible for all mobility needs.
For most retreats, you can chose between shared or private accommodations and adding an extra day at the beginning.

For Fall 2024, you can chose between shared or private accommodations in the Lodge only:

Village Cabin – N/A for Fall 2024

  • Each cabin suite includes 4 sets of twin-size bunks (lower bunks only) with a shared bathroom and bedding included.
  • Provide your own bedding, towels, toiletries etc.
  • 2-4 people per suite.
  • All cabins include A/C and heat.
  • Cost:

Lodge

  • Hotel style rooms with two queen beds, private bathroom, mini fridge, microwave, Keurig, outdoor seating areas, bedding, and towels included.
  • Shared or Private occupancy available.
  • Cost:
    • $390
    • Private Option Available for +$200

No refunds or partial reservations. If you must cancel, you may transfer your reservation.
Non-members can pay $45 to join SFQG to attend.
