Mini-Workshops at the February Meeting – in person only.

February 20 @ 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Join us for our monthly meeting on Tuesday, February 20th from 7:00 to 9:00pm. In addition to Announcements and Sew and Tell, we have several mini-workshops for you to learn new skills or hone those you know. Like Make-and-Take but less about taking a finished project home with you, you can learn about and try your hand at the following techniques taught by our own members:

  • Pattie Klimek will offer a lesson in sashiko with traditional fabric, thread and needles.
  • Learn machine-turned applique with Joy-Lily. This is a clever and easy technique for preparing simple shapes to applique. All materials provided, but bring your small sharp scissors.
  • JoAnn Vail will show how to use UFO’s, strips and scraps for you to design and make a fabric postcard. All materials provided.
  • Dottie McHugh will teach the intricacies of English Paper Piecing.
  • Palmore Hoyt will illustrate the steps of making a Cathedral Windows quilt and give you the opportunity to sew the final step.

This will be an in-person only meeting at St Anne’s.
Nonmembers may pay a $5 guest fee at the door.
