Using African Wax Prints in Quilts with Kena Tangi Dorsey

Bold and beautiful prints—we love them but they can sometimes seem daunting or even intimidating to use. In this program, Kena shares inspiration and ideas for incorporating vivacious African wax prints into your quilt projects. Using samples from modern, appliqué and traditional patterns, she points out how the fabrics were used to makes quilt shout with joy. Her talk includes a brief description of different types of African fabrics, and she shares recommendations for which might work best for the kinds of quilts you are creating.
