We offer a wealth of activities for anyone in the Bay Area interested in quiltmaking and related arts.
Join fellow Guild members for all or part of the day. We’ll have plenty of projects to choose among, with a focus on quilts for fire victims. Please bring basic supplies, including a sewing machine, extension cord, cutting mat, rotary cutter, scissors, rulers, etc. And remember safety pins for basting.

Activities may include sewing preemie quilts, making pillowcases, piecing batting, quilting donated tops, finishing and binding quilts, and more. With just scissors and a glue stick, create a scene of personal or fanciful imagery. From large-scale printed fabrics, snip and glue pictures and shapes into a surreal (or floral) collage over a patchwork-looking background. Learn a simple method for making quilt blocks using the geometry of the American flag, with Catherine Sherman. These blocks can become quilts, pillows or any soft project.
